LOVE NOTES

Few days ago I turned my room “right side up” looking for a document. I brought out files and turned out cupboards that haven’t be touched in a long while. I eventually found the document, but in the process I stumbles on a number of love notes my ‘gentle man’ and I exchanged back in the days. Some were ‘make up’ notes (imagine those type of love notes after a quarrel) but the majority were declaration of love. Chai! Would you believe that I felt butterflies in my tommy and ‘lovingistis’ reading through some of those notes? Amazing!! Yeah I know! The power of words eeeh!

I would have included some of the notes in this piece but my gentleman is a very private person. The truth remains that I still love that era of love notes over BBM and WhatsApp chats, email, voice notes and other e-forms of communication. I have decided to keep my love notes and show them to my daughters (*wink*) how a man’s love can so mesmerize. Hahahahahha!!

Looking back after twenty something years now (Hehehe! Dreaming ahead abi??) I still appreciate my Knight in shining armour and all the love moves he has made to/on me and even the learning experience that came with the process. I call him my ‘gentleman’, for he has not only treated me like a lady but also like his queen.

To even think I turned down his first three initial attempt at wooing me. What do women want sef? (Difficult question??) Not to mention my mom almost turning down his initial request for my hand in marriage. Oh boi! Many waters can’t quench this love o!

In fact, congratulate and celebrate this persevering great man who has unceasingly amaze me with his act of love and has made me a happy and contented woman.
Not forgetting to say, the love note hasn’t stop. I often find new ones in amazing and creative new places … (I won’t say, so you don’t steal his ideas. *smiles*)
