TRUSTING like a child

“The innocence of children is what makes them stand out as a shining example to the rest of the world.” – Kurt Chambers

Children are the most loving, curious, and innocent beings on earth. I love their innocence, especially how trusting they are, without a care in the world.

Earlier this week, I dashed into my room to pick an item when my eyes fell on a white paper planted right in the middle of my dresser! A curious glance at the content of the paper melted my heart. On it was the scribbling of my 5-year-old, who is still learning and perfecting the art of writing. It was a list of his wants.

Seddie loves to gist, help others, and give gifts to people. He once requested that I buy two iPhones (iPhone oo) for two of his class teachers who have been so good to him. This was in addition to many other gifts he frequently requests for his classmates and friends.

So every time he requests a gift for himself, a friend, or any person, we often tell him to write it out on paper and encourage him to speak to God about it, trusting Him to provide.

He has been adding to the list, and the paper got filled up, hence the submission on my dresser. So today, our gracious Lord has asked me to stop at the supermart to fulfill Seddie’s request😀
Here are the items on his list:
1. Fox biscuits
2. Pencil
3. Pringles – red and green
4. Coloured pencil
5. Paint
6. Waffles
7. Ruler
8. M & M chocolate
9. A pack of Welsh

Seddie’s obedience to write down his wants and the complete trust in me to provide reminds me of the ideal relationship with God. He desires that we completely trust and depend on Him for the minutest need in our lives.

Did you know that God is interested in fulfilling your heart’s desire?

If He could not withhold gifting Jesus to us, He would not withhold any good thing from us. (The one who did not spare his own Son, but offered him as a sacrifice for all of us, surely will give us all things, along with his Son. Romans 8 v 32).

What is on your list today?

Like Seddie, place it all on God’s dresser😀 and trust Him to handle it perfectly.

I challenge you today to trust like a child with no second options.

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. Psalms 62:5‭-‬6 NLT
